About Elizabeth Stafford

Elizabeth Stafford is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Maryland and a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Social Work. During graduate school, Elizabeth's concentration was in clinical behavioral health. She gained experience interning in a community housing setting and at an inpatient eating disorder clinic.

Elizabeth has extensive experience in community-based mental health. Elizabeth is a career changer; prior to becoming a therapist, she worked in event planning and fundraising at various non-profits in the Baltimore area for ten years. Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia where she majored in history.

Elizabeth provides mental health therapy for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, anger management, grief and loss, relationship challenges, substance use, and trauma.

She provides a range of therapeutic techniques and pulls from various therapeutic models including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

Elizabeth understands what it's like to go through difficult times and truly believes in the power of therapy and its ability to help us work through life's many challenges.

She offers a warm and welcoming environment where clients feel safe and accepted to share their struggles and be themselves. Her goal is to help each client work towards becoming the best version of themself.
